Gay Marriage Up For Vote In New Jersey
New Jersey's Senate is to vote Thursday on whether to legalize gay marriage. Just getting it to a vote was a coup for gay rights advocates who lost momentum in November when Republican Chris Christie was elected governor.
New Jersey offers civil unions, which give gay couples the legal benefits of marriage but not the title.
Currently, only five U.S. states recognize gay marriage.
5 down 45 to go!
