PROJECT 2 LINE AND SPACE

DEFINITIONS:
STRAIT LINES-a line traced by a point traveling in a constant direction; a line of zero curvature
CURVED LINES- Lines that are always bending and change directions gradually.
VERTICAL LINES- lines that are straight up and down
HORIZONTAL LINES-A horizontal line is one the goes left-to-right
DIAGONAL LINES-lines that are at an angle
ACTUAL LINES-a line created by movement or direction
IMPLIED LINES-a line in a work that is subtlety perceived by the viewer but has no physical form
SIGHT LINES-Unobstructed line of vision.
SPACE-the unlimited expanse in which everything is located
PRESENCE-the state of being present; current existence
ABSENCE IN SPACE-A space empty of matter
OPENED SPACE-In a design layout, the areas that are organized to not have text or image in them
CLOSED SPACE- a space that is closed off.
KINETIC FORM-
  1. a form of sculpture in which the object moves
PROXIMITY-
  1. closeness; the state of being near.
CLOSURE-an act of closing
